Basketball Queensland Club Coach Course (Level 1): Information and registration

Are you passionate about basketball and ready to elevate your coaching skills? Join us for a 6-hour Basketball Queensland (BQ) Club Coaching Accreditation session, designed to equip you with the essential knowledge and tools needed to coach at a representative level. This session is highly practical and participatory, focusing on experiential and peer-to-peer learning, making it an invaluable experience for any coach aiming to advance their expertise. Lunch and breaks are included!

This event is perfect for those with some playing or coaching experience, and is a requirement for anyone aspiring to coach representative basketball under the Basketball Queensland framework. It’s also recommended for those coaching or interested in coaching higher-level club or school teams.

Coaching plays a vital role in the growth and development of our young athletes, shaping their journey both on and off the court. By honing your coaching skills, you contribute to the community that supports our children, and you’ll find your own enjoyment of the game deepening as well.

Prerequisites
Coaches must:
- complete the online BQ Community Coaching Accreditation (a 45-minute module) prior to attending the session. (via etrainu)

Note: BQ has moved from Ownurgoal to etraiu as their LMS to manage all training records.
- Existing coaches will need to ensure they have logged into etrainu to access the event
- New coaches will need to sign up and create a user profile. www.etrainu.com

Upon completion of the practical session, the Club Coaches online content will be made available for completion. Once a coach has completed both the in person course and online modules, they will receive their Basketball Australia Club Coaching accreditation.
