Junior Representative Program

What Is Rep?

SQJBC

Representing the Eastside Knights is more than just wearing the jersey – it's an opportunity to test your limits, push for continuous growth, and showcase your skills in a competitive, high-performance environment. This is your chance to refine advanced techniques, deepen your understanding of the game, and prepare for future pathways in representative basketball.

Southern Queensland Junior Basketball Competition (SQJBC)

The SQJBC, is a premier annual event for each junior basketball age group allowing teams from across South East Queensland to face off against other associations. The competition is structured in a round-robin format primarily over a school term.
Participants can expect to travel to various locations, with games hosted as far north as Noosa, as far west as Toowoomba and south to the Gold Coast   Games are usually held on a Sunday , except a super carnival round that occurs over a weekend, with games scheduled on both Saturday and Sunday.

This exciting format not only fosters high-level competition but also builds community and regional pride among young athletes.

Queensland State Championships

All SQJBC representative teams combine with other regional competitions (CQJBC & NQJBC)  to participate in the annual Queensland State Championships. These tournaments are held as separate events for each age group across the state

Each championship is a four-day carnival hosted at various locations across Queensland, including Northern and Central regions. These events bring together teams from associations across the state, offering a high level of competition and a valuable development experience for junior athletes.

Representitive Eligibility Criteria

At Eastside Knights, our representative program is built on one simple idea:

If you represent EKB, you play your club basketball at EKB.

Representative basketball is an extension of our club competition, not something separate from it.
