Let's start Coaching - Intro. Course Information and registration

This 2.5-hour course is ideal for coaches who are either new to coaching or have taken on a lower-level team and are looking for some practical guidance to support them gain confidence in their coaching. The course will include both on court and off court knowledge tailored to newer, less experienced coaching:

Off court:
    1. Coaching priorities,
    2. Understanding children’s motivators,
    3. Creating psychological safety,
    4. Setting team standards.
    5. Basic learning techniques

On court:
1. Creating a training plan
2. Understanding basic skills
3. Drill progressions
4. Engaging coaching techniques
5. Engaging parents in training sessions

If you have entertained the thought of coaching, but not sure if you are ready for the first step, this course is designed for you.

When: Friday, 13th September, 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

Where: Iona College - Provence Centre.
